Naomi Middelmann, DISPLACED. drawing, assemblage on canvas (2m x 3m), detail. Lausanne (CH), 2016.
In the exhibition "DISPLACED" the Lausanne based artist Naomi Middelmann exhibits ink drawings and assemblages. Middelmann's work explores the transience in identity. The works often uses elements from her personal history. By combining different images, formats, surfaces and textures her work opens new experiences in which space, time and place are displaced from their usual context. During the artist talk we will discuss the ways Middelmann puts into question our sense of perception and of identity.
